Hell Creek is a formation where tons of dinosaurs and other extinct animals have been found. It is mostly located in the badlands of Montana but is also found in North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming and is one of the most well-known fossil locations in America. This formation is located in cretaceous rock so we know that all the animals that come out are from the cretaceous period. Some of the dinosaurs found here include Triceratops, Tyrannosaurus, and Edmontosaurus. These dinosaurs have been found along with some bird, mammal, and pterosaur remains.
