Wetlands
What is a Wetland
A wetland is a place where water is still and covers the land at a shallow depth. Many animals have evolved to live in these unique environments. These can be found in both freshwater and saltwater areas. There are many types like swamps, mires, moors, marshes, muskegs, mangroves, flats, fens, and bogs. Animals like crocodiles, frogs, turtles, snakes, birds, and insects live in these places.
