What is a Saltwater Biome

Saltwater covers 3/4 of the surface of the earth. It holds many types of animals including fish, whales, crabs, worms, corals, jellyfish, snails, clams, cephalopods, and seals. There are different zones that include the intertidal zone, pelagic zone, benthic zone, and abyssal zone.

Threats

There are many things that threaten the saltwater biome like climate change, oil spills, fisheries, and invasive species. One very bad threat is pollution. There are tons and tons of pounds of plastic and trash in the ocean.
